A great piece of steak always first depends on the quality of meat. Insist on Grade A4 Kagoshima Wagyu for top-quality steak.
Use a pan with a lid. The lid will come in handy in the cooking of the steak. If you have accompanying vegetables, cook them before cooking the steak.
250g Grade A4 Kagoshima Wagyu Steak
Salt and Pepper to taste
Strongly heat up a cast iron pan.
Place steak onto the pan and immediately reduce heat to medium-low.
Season the steak with salt and pepper and turn off the heat.
Immediately, flip the steak over and put the lid on.
Count to 10 seconds for medium rare and 20s for medium. Ready to be served.
